After the death of Khadijah and Abu Talib in the same year, the Prophet ﷺ travelled to Taif to seek support and was driven out of the city.
What he said afterwards
His du’a on that road contains no curse against the people who injured him. It begins with a complaint about his own weakness and ends with a statement of contentment: as long as Allah is not angry with him, he does not mind.
The lesson
The seerah does not present this as a defeat converted into instant victory. Relief came years later. The lesson lives in the interval: what a believer says, and refuses to say, while the door is still closed.
